Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything.
Kara Wall is a Los Angeles based artist whose work is primarily figurative and surreal. Her undergraduate studies in Studio Arts and Psychology were a manifestation of a lifelong exploration of body and mind.
Inner and outer life intertwine in pieces that examine brokenness, empowerment, vulnerability, tranquility, and melancholy through the employ of dramatic contrast, vivid color and anatomical distortions.
Her compositions are purposeful challenges to societal constructs of beauty and perfection. They honor the odd, the idiosyncratic, the asymmetrical--the aesthetically engaging.
