Kara Wall

Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything.
                                                                     -Leonard Cohen

Kara Wall is a Los Angeles based artist whose work is figurative and surreal. Her undergraduate studies in Studio Arts and Psychology led to the artistic exploration of body and mind.

Inner and outer life intertwines in pieces that examine brokenness, empowerment, vulnerability, tranquility, and melancholy through the  employ of dramatic hues and anatomical distortions.

Her compositions are purposeful challenges to societal constructs of beauty and perfection. They honor the odd, the idiosyncratic, the asymmetrical--the aesthetically engaging.
