Kara Wall
Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything.
-Leonard Cohen

Kara Wall is a Los Angeles based artist whose work is primarily figurative with a strong leaning into the surreal. Her undergraduate studies in Studio Arts and Psychology melded lifelong passions for the physical form and the mechanics of the mind into a body of work that explores emotions via tangible media.
Inner and outer life intertwine in pieces that examine brokenness, empowerment, vulnerability, and tranquility through the employ of dramatic contrast, vivid color and anatomical distortions.
Her compositions are purposeful challenges to societal constructs of beauty and perfection. They honor the odd, the idiosyncratic, and the asymmetrical--placing them deservedly and firmly on the platform of the truly engaging.
